Description:

Summer – Large private sandy beach with gradual slope just steps from the deck / house. Large lawn for volleyball, croquet or picnics. Southwestern exposure with a sunny beach and deck shaded by mature trees. Swim, boat, fish, sail or canoe in crystal clear water. Crystal Lake is 461 acres with 56 foot max. depth and has excellent small & bigmouth bass, salmon & togue fishing. Biking (mountain bike Shawnee Peak), hiking, golf, tennis, antiquing & hot air balloon rides near by. Harrison’s historic Opera House has music and theater. You can also shop tax free in N. Conway.

In Winter – Ice fish, snowshoe, Nordic ski, ice skate, or snowmobile just outside the door (the interstate snowmobile trail crosses Crystal Lake) . Downhill ski/snowboard at Shawnee Peak (night or day 15 min.), Sunday River, Cranmore (45 min.) or Mount Abram.

Beach View at Night
The path to the sandy beach is lit by flame torches. On the beach you will find a dock, lounger chairs, fire pit, a tandem kayak and a canoe.
Boardwalk Beach
The kid's room faces the water with one window opening on to the screen porch. Two twin beds and shelves loaded with curiosities and toys.
Child's Room
The kid's room has lots of interesting things going on on the walls. There are shelves with books, toys, puppets etc. Everything is high enough that very young children will need help getting access to potential choking hazards.

The 2nd bedroom has mural paper from a painting by Lena. The wooden sculpture was excavated from the canyon of the Hollywood estate once belonging to Errol Flynn.

Looking toward the lake, you have a dining nook by a window overlooking the deck and water. To the right is the door to the screen porch and deck beyond.

One rainy day these loons brought their baby to hang out by the dock all day. One would go fishing while the other waited with Jr. then they would switch.

The screen porch is narrow but the screens go to ankle height, giving you unencumbered view of the beach and water.
